We would like to invite parents to attend our annual Family Appreciation Day tomorrow!
The BBQ will kick off at 12.30pm in the courtyard (weather permitting!!). 1st-6th classes will be brought down with their class teacher to eat some food and have some fun and they will then return to their classes as normal. Junior and Senior Infant classes will be released to their parents at 13.10pm as usual and parents are then asked to bring them along to the BBQ. Everyone will receive a ticket that they can exchange for their BBQ treat! Parents can attend the event from 12.30pm and are invited to bring along any salad accompaniments they would like to share with each other. Please ensure you let your class teacher know (if they don't already) if there are specific foods your child is not permitted to eat during this event. There will be music, dancing and playground games so there will be lots of fun alongside the food so everyone should have a lovely afternoon. We look forward to seeing you there to celebrate all our fantastic families following another amazing year in P.E.T.N.S.!

All parents are welcome to school on Friday for Intercultural Day. All classes have studied a different country and will be presenting their projects on Friday.
Well done to all of Rowan class who ran at Santry today. All the runners put in such a great effort in the individual sprints and relays.
Well done particularly to the U14 girls' relay team (Daniela, Eunice, Candy and Lea) who qualified for the final and narrowly missed out on a medal spot in a very fast final race. Well done also to Eunice and Kelvin who both qualified for the finals in their agegroups. And massive congratulations to Kelvin who won a Silver Medal in the boys' U14 final. The PTA are organising a Sponsored Fun Walk on Thursday 18th of May (tomorrow), during the Walk to School Week.
Donation: €1 per child. The PTA are using money raised to provide some refreshments at the 6th class graduation evening in June. Please make sure your child comes to school with a coat and is wearing runners. Extra food and water should be included in their lunch bags. Parents are welcome to join us on the walk. Junior Infant - 1st Class Sponsored Walk Route is 1km. Children will leave the school at 10.30am. 2nd – 6th class Sponsored Walk is 5km. Children will leave the school at 10.30am. Dear Parents,
During Intercultural May, we are planning to have a Powerstown World Music radio where songs from different countries will be played throughout the school. If your family would like to request a song, please send an audio/ Youtube link to Elaine at [email protected], including your child's name and class. Alternatively, you can hand your written request into the office. We would appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that all lyrics are appropriate for our pupils. Thank you - we look forward to hearing all your musical requests! |
