Rowan class
Welcome to our Blog!
Today we began work on the school garden. It was a perfect day for weeding the raised beds. Next, we will add topsoil and compost to make them ready for seeding next week
This week is Water Week in Powerstown ETNS. We are learning all about water, the water cycle, its importance in our lives and why we need to conserve it. Today, some scientists from UCD came in and we learned all about water. We learned lots!
Today Andy's dad came in to play some tunes for us and some even got up to dance! Today we spent the afternoon learning abour trees, insects and bees at Tyrrelstown House. We even planted a tree with Mark Wilkinson and Dale Treadwell. Quiz tomorrow about the trails!
Book Week was a great success. We wrote book reviews, made videos of our reviews, made posters of our favourite scene from a book, dressed up as our favourite characters and - most popular of all - went downstairs to read stories to the infants. Here's some photos and video: |
